Vinyl Wednesday:Erykah Badu - But You caint use my phone
Only a few weeks ago I disvovered this album, already released in 2015 and I believe november 2016 on vinyl. As usual, it's really creative music, and what I like about Badu most I think, are her timing and articulation. And style.. Somehow, everything she wears, sings, does, the way she moves, she's just the best of her time..
And, talking about Erykah Badu, have you seen her tribute to Diana Ross? She can dance in slowmotion..
This is a tune called Jonesin', from my latest album Dark Horse, order it here or buy it at a concert. See agenda for the upcoming dates! On the album, this tune features Willie Jones III on drums, and in Bimhuis we had Yoràn Vroom with an also incredible drum solo.More info:Susanne Alt: sax, Matthijs Geerts and Ike van Bergen: keys, Thomas Pol: bass, Yoràn Vroom: drums, Helene Jank: percussion Performed at 16th of January 2026 at Bimhuis, Amsterdam, Recorded by Onno Prillwitz Filmed by Robert Glass and Albert Nooij. - Only a few weeks ago I disvovered this album, already released in 2015 and I believe november 2016 on vinyl.
