Venus Tunes Live in full effect!

Just in time for International Women's Day, here's the first of a couple videos of Fred Wesley & The New JB's featuring Martha High.Think (About It) made famous by the recording of Lyn Collins, Martha always sang it with James Brown and Maceo Parker.Thank you Fred for having me on this great gig in Zurich, Switzerland! It was a pleasure.. and yeah you are right, for the connaisseurs of funk guitar, there's the one and only Bruno Speight! In the following videos the light is better and you'll see more of him, promised... stay tuned! - One week ago Venus Tunes Live had its first festival performance during Jazz in het Dorp in Amstelveen. Mavis Acquah (dj/vocals), Femke Krone (percussion/vocals) and I (dj/sax). Lorrèn, who also performed at Jazz in het Dorp with her own band came by and sang 2 songs with us as a special guest. It was the only sunny day within 2 weeks of almost constant rain, so it was kind of magical.First, I thought of only making a little aftermovie but I liked the whole show so much that I decided to put the whole show online.Plus, who knows, maybe some other people get a chance to watch it and book us on their festival/ in their club...
