Running: Virtual Run 8km TCS Amsterdam 2020

Just in time for International Women's Day, here's the first of a couple videos of Fred Wesley & The New JB's featuring Martha High.Think (About It) made famous by the recording of Lyn Collins, Martha always sang it with James Brown and Maceo Parker.Thank you Fred for having me on this great gig in Zurich, Switzerland! It was a pleasure.. and yeah you are right, for the connaisseurs of funk guitar, there's the one and only Bruno Speight! In the following videos the light is better and you'll see more of him, promised... stay tuned! - Around this time of the year I would run the half marathon in Amsterdam, recreationally. Of course the event was cancelled due to the Covid situation and the alternative was to sign up for a virtual run. The idea sounds great.. Within one week of the original date participants can run their distance with a special app. The app had to be connected to Strava (another app). It would be great if it would work! Compare the times shown in the 2 overviews above.. totally wrong! There's certainly room for improvement...Well, in this case I am not in for the performance.. and it's more important to raise some money for Cancer Center Amsterdam and to stay motivated. The idea is fantastic but the apps failed...
