My latest mix is now online. Venus Tunes Sessions is a monthly mix by Susanne Alt on Freak31, aired every first Sunday of the month at 19:00h. In addition, earlier Venus Tunes Sessions shows are repeated every Friday between 20:00-21:00 and Tuesday 21:00-22:00.Freak 31 has around 250 daily listeners (less during the week, more in the weekend) and a total of +10.000 listeners every month. All of this in addition to my normal life as a musician. We performed a lot together and when I wrote the music for Saxify she was one of the vocalists I thought of straight away. After finishing the instrumental track I started writing the lyrics and hoped to catch a bit of an Earth Wind & Fire vibe on it; to open up, look around and realize how good our life is, and how grateful we should be and send some more positive energy to the ones who want to hear it. Berenice was able to transform my text ideas into a singable format. I am glad to have caught this lady on tape or rather on vinyl and cd :-). Also because I already had recorded with her father Thijs van Leer before and her stepbrother Roeland Jacobs plays som keys and mixed the whole thing.
