RocknRolla Soundsystem's "Throwback" remix is the 11th out of a series of Susanne Alt's latest album "Saxify". "Throwback" features Fred Wesley (vocals, trombone), Scott Mayo and Susanne Alt, both on alto saxophone.
RocknRolla Soundsystem is a remixing and DJ quintet founded in 2012 (Joris Vos, Sebastian Davidson, Coen Speelman, Martijn Bosch & Raymond van Felius). Their cosmic productions of all things groovy have been critically acclaimed by the likes of Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles. The Dutch-based squad blends, reshapes and blasts out a multitude of vibes in the spectrum of soul, funk, jazz, reggae, latin, hip-hop, blues and gospel.
In march 2016 Amsterdam based saxophonist/producer Susanne Alt released her latest album 'Saxify'. It features 36 of her favourite funk musicians she met throughout the years. Amongst them are legendary musicians like Fred Wesley, Rodney 'Skeet' Curtis, Bruno Speight, Roger Smith.
