Gig pics: Venus Tunes Live at Jazz in het Dorp Amstelveen!

Just in time for International Women's Day, here's the first of a couple videos of Fred Wesley & The New JB's featuring Martha High.Think (About It) made famous by the recording of Lyn Collins, Martha always sang it with James Brown and Maceo Parker.Thank you Fred for having me on this great gig in Zurich, Switzerland! It was a pleasure.. and yeah you are right, for the connaisseurs of funk guitar, there's the one and only Bruno Speight! In the following videos the light is better and you'll see more of him, promised... stay tuned! - We were so lucky.It has been raining for days and only Sunday the rain stopped and it was nice weather! Now its raining again....These are the first pictures I received by Esseline Ernst (photo 1,2,4) and Harm ten Napel (3) of our performance at Jazz in het Dorp, Amstelveen.We that is Venus Tunes Live, consisting of Mavis Acquah (vocals/dj), Femke Krone (percussion, vocals), Lorrèn (vocals) and I (sax/dj).It was so good to see many acquaintances and people enjoying this lovely festival! We already got the greatest compliment possible; the organisation booked us again for next year!During the next days we will go through all the material and hopefully I can share some videos with you by the end of the week... stay tuned!
