Just in time for International Women's Day, here's the first of a couple videos of Fred Wesley & The New JB's featuring Martha High.Think (About It) made famous by the recording of Lyn Collins, Martha always sang it with James Brown and Maceo Parker.Thank you Fred for having me on this great gig in Zurich, Switzerland! It was a pleasure.. and yeah you are right, for the connaisseurs of funk guitar, there's the one and only Bruno Speight! In the following videos the light is better and you'll see more of him, promised... stay tuned! - I know DJ Peppa a.k.a. Afssane Ghassemi from the years of my Würzburg/Estenfeld youth. Just a few years ago we met again via her brother Alexander.... So nice to perform with her! Last Friday, there was the sold out opening party of Soroptimists International, a service organisation for business women. The money they collected went to a foundation for single parents. It was a wonderful party with women of all ages, dancing and of course lots of networking. It was especially nice to met again with one of my favourite teachers from Matthias-Grünewald-Gymnasium again: Renate Freyeisen :-)
