My Facebook friend Larry Funkster Jones presented this lovely record on his p-view, a series of videos he posts on his wall about p-funk related music. If you had to label it, it's funk in a jazz setting. Or just a fine jazz album. "This LP features the many grooves of Bruce Cox" Fred writes in his liner notes on the back of the album. So it all comes from Bruce Cox, still the drummer of Fred's band. And look how nice the limited edition on orange vinyl looks: For sale now.. I love the way she and the band creates this moment of space within the concert and this is also why - I think - visiting concerts is important because then you get to experience the whole context of the concert. How is the program build up, how does the audience respond and what does music makes you feel.
