Let's have a look into my record collection... this week: Brass Construction! One of the most played funk bands on the dance floor, even now, if you go to a disco/funk/boogie club night or before/ after concerts when the dj is warming up or cooling it down.. One of the most unknown bands as such, but many people know their tracks without knowing who it is. Let's go to Wikipedia and find out more.. not so much here. They were formed in 1968 in Brooklyn, New York and very productive: They released 10 albums between 1975 and 1985. There is a notable section of people who sampled their work, amongst them: Jill Scott, Gang Starr and Bob Sinclair.
This is their greatest hit and it's also the first tune on their first record: Movin.
